General Site Rules « Thread Started on Sept 30, 2007, 4:23pm »
Each member gets three warnings before they are banned - Each rule you break, that is listed here, is a warning. Depending on how badly you have broken these rules, your account may only be suspended for a short while, or you may be banned altogether.
1 -All posts must contain the following your characters name, at the top. ex. John Doe

This is to avoid confusion as to which character you are posting with. If you have more than one character on your account, then this rule is especially important.
2 -Post styles may differ. It would be preferred that you post in third person, but if you are more comfortable with first person posting, that is fine. ALL POSTS MUST BE IN PAST TENSE.
3 -No god-modding! These things go under god-modding. -The fact that you know something, doesn't mean your character does. -No killing anyone's character with one spell. THEY have to post that their character dies, NOT you. You can throw a killing curse at them, and if they find a way out of it, then they are not dead. - No controlling another persons character, without their expressed permission. If they tell you that you can use their character, then they have to post in the thread that they said that you could.
4 -Spelling and grammar is highly important. Though you wont be getting warnings for minor mistakes, if your posts are completely unreadable, and you do not change it when asked, then you will get a warning. Small mistakes are acceptable. Even I make mistakes with this. If there is some reason why you can not use the spell check, then tell us. Maybe your computer wont load it right, or maybe every time to click the link your monitor spews Tuna Casserole all over you. If we ask you to use spell check, and you cant, then just give us your reason why, and do your best to edit it yourself.
5 -Your characters need to have REAL names. Your character's name isn't going to be "SlytherinCutie569247." Be realistic in your naming process. I would also not like to see any "John doe" characters. That is a cruel, cruel, joke for a parent to play on their child. The password to view the Profile creation board is "Portfolio" Write it down somewhere, or check back here. Just remember it somehow! We will not give out this password simply because you ask.
6 -Sorting Password is "Goldfish". More information on the sorting process will be found in the sorting application thread.
7 - No flaming! Not only is this a rule on this site, it is in the proboards terms of service. No fighting with another member OOC. IC fighting is fine, but if I catch you making a personal attack you will be banned. THERE IS NO WARNING FOR THIS! I can't stand people fighting on the Internet. It's stupid, and even if you win, you're still retarded. Joking around fighting is fine, as long as both parties know it's a joke. I also happen to know the difference between a joke and the real thing, so don't try to fool me.
